Creating the Staffroom

The Counsellors’ Staffroom was created by therapists for therapists out of a care for each other. Beginning on Facebook in March 2020, our community soon became a thriving and valued source of support for counsellors and psychotherapists. Our new dedicated online home allow us to provide so much more for our members. Were looking forward to welcoming you.

    • I love being a member of Counsellors’ Staffroom - the members are what make it was it is; a place where we can ask for professional advice, support and care, share the joys and challenges of our work or just to hang out and talk about our favourite TV shows! The team behind it ensure it is a safe place for us as therapists and its a community I always enjoy being part of.

    • Counsellors’ Staffroom is great. The team keep both us and themselves up to date in diversity, ensuring that they have speakers that can support & educate us all, and they are unafraid to bring topics into our awareness even if that might temporarilty create some discomfort within us. I hugely appreciate the support Zena and Helen offered myself & my co-founder as we launched our company NEDDE TRAINING specialising in neurodivergent individuals suffering with eating disorders & disordered eating.

    • I discovered the Counsellors’ Staffroom during the pandemic. It is a great resource for both trainee and qualified therapists, providing excellent and accessible CPD opportunities alongside the continuous, attentive and culturally sensitive support amongst peers.

      Fenia
      Counsellor & Senior Lecturer
    • I found the Counsellors’ Staffroom when I was feeling a little isolated from my peers. We were no longer meeting regularly for training, and I was hoping to find a supportive community. The Staffroom has given me exactly what I needed. There is a range of skills and experience, and members offer support and information generously. The forum is moderated thoughtfully and with care, and I value the space to chat about professional topics and personal ones.

    • Counsellors’ Staffroom provides a safe and welcoming place to share ideas, thoughts, opinions and frivolity. It is an inclusive space and an arena that is accountable and has integrity. When things go wrong they are quick to repair any ruptures, although this rarely happens because they are a tranparent group.
